The Block 2024 – Ultra Compact Porcelain Installation with Expert Tools

Ultra Compact Porcelain Installation with Expert Tools

In Season 20 of The Block Australia, we witnessed yet another spectacular transformation as contestants pushed the boundaries of design and craftsmanship. One of the standout installations was a fireplace feature made from a single, massive slab of ultra compact porcelain. While the design turned heads, the logistics of such a large-scale installation presented significant challenges—particularly when it came to handling and positioning the stone.

The decision to use such a large piece of stone for the fireplace and TV feature added a luxurious, high-end touch to the room. The scale and weight of the material required precision and the right tools to ensure a seamless, damage-free installation.

Seamless Installation of Ultra Compact Porcelain

For this intricate project, the contestants turned to expert stonemasons who used two trusted pieces of equipment: the Omni Cubed Pro Cart 2 and the Nemo Grabo. These tools are designed specifically for handling heavy, delicate materials, making them the perfect choice for this ultra compact porcelain installation.

The Omni Cubed Pro Cart 2 played a pivotal role in transporting the massive stone slab across the worksite with ease. Known for its stability and smooth manoeuvrability, the Pro Cart 2 ensures that even the heaviest materials remain securely in place during transport, minimizing the risk of damage.

Once on-site, the Nemo Grabo vacuum lifter was used to position the stone slab precisely. The Grabo’s powerful suction technology allowed the team to safely grip and lift the stone, making what would otherwise be a physically taxing task much more manageable. This ensured a smooth, effortless installation.
